'Undercovers'Is Not Able to Pull A Longer Run
Canceled, 'Undercovers' Will Air Three More Episodes

Although J.J. Abrams is behind it, "" is not able to pull a longer run. NBC said on Thursday, November 4 that it is pulling the plug on the spy series starring and but would probably still air all the six episodes that have gone in production.

Put in the Wednesday, 8/7c slot, "Undercovers" is struggling to achieve a high rating with competition from CBS' "" and ABC's increasingly-popular comedy "". The action spy is averaging 1.3 rating and 4 share in the slot, and 7 million viewers in the overall season.

Three episodes will be aired on November 10, November 17 and December 1. NBC would slip in holiday special "Shrek" on November 24 and air "The Sing Off" on December 8. The fate of the other three remaining episodes is still unknown.

"Undercovers" follows a married couple who goes back into the spy world after retiring from the job to open a catering business. When Abrams pitched the idea last year, networks went on a bidding war and the Peacock won it in hope that it would claim a success like Abrams' "". The series itself is particularly different for it puts two black stars in the main roles.

This is the second ax that NBC gives to its newbies. It first eliminated "" for poor rating before picking full seasons of "", "", "" and "."
